SEASONS OCEANIA
Seasons in our part of the world are unique, with both four seasons and the wet and dry seasons. Learn more about the seasons in Oceania with real-life photographs from Australia and New Zealand, including indigenous information about seasonal change.
Seasons Oceania recognises that in Early Childhood children begin to measure time, recognise the order of the seasons and learn to predict the changes that go with them. Seasons Oceania examines different types of weather around the world and addresses common questions about the weather.
A variety of seasonal photographs allow teachers to choose the ones relevant to the local climate particularly in those areas where the traditional four seasons may not apply. Interesting photographs allow children to focus on the type of weather being discussed and enable children to further develop their understandings of the rhythm of the natural world and their place in it.
