WHAT CAN I SENSE? EMPATHY & INTUITION
What Can I Sense? is a child-centred exploration of sensing, emotions, and connection.
Through everyday experiences, children are invited to notice their bodies, feelings, and the signals around them, supporting the development of interoception, emotional awareness, and social understanding. The book encourages children to recognise patterns, tune in to their own experiences, and begin to understand intuition as noticing internal and external clues.
This awareness plays an important role in personal safety, helping children recognise when something feels right or not right, and supporting confident, respectful communication.
Grounded in inquiry and positive psychology, this title supports the development of empathy, self-awareness, and inclusive understanding of neurodiversity — reinforcing that there is no single “right” way to sense, and that each child’s way of noticing is valid and meaningful.
